I am still in awe of this opportunity that you have given me - but I will try my best to convey my immense gratitude for your generosity. Thank you for entrusting me with your scholarship! Because of you, I now have the chance to do what I have always dreamed of - travel abroad and find myself.
Since arriving to the doorstep of the Shidler College of Business, I have experienced a world-class education and a magnitude of self-growth that I had not expected. Perhaps as long as I can remember, I dreamed of going abroad and exploring the world. Thanks to you, that is much less of a dream, and much more of an attainable goal. So much more than the dollar value of the scholarship, you have given me the financial security and emotional assurance to immerse myself fully in the international experience, to chase after any and all opportunities for discovery. As a Marketing, Human Resource Management, and International Business major, I am so excited to be spending the semester as a student at renowned Yonsei University, the "Y" of the academically-acclaimed "SKY" schools in South Korea. Not only am I looking forward to interact with other international students, but I am also ready to embrace the triumphs, and struggles, of being a foreign student in Seoul. Through all this excitement, I am most profoundly touched by your investment in my education and your belief in my potential. So once again, thank you, or should I say, "gamsahamnida," for your support of curious minds, eager students, and future global business leaders! I hope to make you, and Hawai'i, proud. Best regards, Annie

"To Whom Much is Given, Much is Expected."As a scholarship student for all four years of undergraduate school, I have relied on many generous donors who have invested in my education and future. This is a special thank you and a committed promise of international learning to the Freeman Foundation. ArchivesCategories |
